All Z-Bolt® li-ion batteries feature a "protected " design.  The battery PCB safety circuit prohibits overcharging and heat build up - but offers high discharge power when needed and superior device operating run times. We recommend using ONLY Z-Bolt® 18350 & 18650 high-discharge battery cells for peak performance.
